Safeguarding children, young people and vunerable adults
The SENAD Group endeavours to protect the children, young people and adults whom they support in each setting, without infringing on their basic human rights, cultural needs and individual development.
All employees should ensure positive outcomes for those in our care in the following areas:
- Staying Safe
- Being Healthy
- Enjoying and Achieving
- Making a Positive Contribution
- Achieving Economic Well Being.
The Group and all its staff follow the ‘no secrets’ Government Guidance for the protection of vulnerable adults.
All staff are subject to safe recruitment checks which include an Enhanced DBS check and full reference checking. It is an organisational and legislative requirement that relevant staff attend annual and current training in the area of safeguarding.
Each employee has a duty of care to safeguard and protect the young and vulnerable people who they support, any failure to do this, or a failure to report others who are not safeguarding will result in disciplinary action.
Any employee with a concern over the protection and safeguarding of those in our care should report their concern immediately to a senior colleague. View local safeguarding policies for full details.
Any type of abuse against those in our care will not be tolerated in any way. The penalty for those found guilty internally of such an offence will be summary dismissal and a referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
