As we reached the end of this term, pupils at Maple View School enjoyed a week filled with community engagement and seasonal fun. The week began with a visit to St Francis Church for a reflective Easter service. This was a lovely opportunity for pupils to connect with their local community, supporting Maple View’s aim for children to be active members of both the school and the wider community and to build social confidence in real‑world settings. Back at school, pupils spent time engaging in Easter‑themed arts and crafts, weaving creative activities into their usual learning routines.

Later in the week, pupils visited the local Gurdwara, offering another chance to broaden their understanding of community, culture and belonging. Experiences like this echo Maple View’s emphasis onsocial development, supporting children to engage respectfully with a range of communities and build the resilience needed to participate safely and confidently in different settings.
To close the week, pupils enjoyed a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny. After such a full term, pupils and staff are now looking forward to a well‑deserved break!
