A BIG thank you to SENAD Community Coventry Support Worker, Trevor Pargetor who organised and ran a BBQ for all the staff and service users in Coventry this Bank Holiday weekend, bringing the community together. Trevor started with SENAD Community in September 2021 and is a true asset to the team.
Congratulations to our fabulous client for sucessfully helping to train her SENAD Community Support Team in British Sign Language. She was supported to design certificates to send to her staff, which she is signing in one of the photos. To say thank you to her, the team bought her some flowers.
Jemma Murray was highly commended in the Complex Support Worker Award category and A service users team, led by Temitope Adewale were highly commended in The Lord Rix Supporting Older People with Learning Disabilities Award.

Pegasus School students took part in BBC Gardener’s World Live at the NEC this year, within the #HealthForLife schools barrow competition run by the conservation volunteers charity Tcv Birmingham!
Our garden was based on Ghana as the theme was the Commonwealth and we grew Jollof in our wheelbarrow.
We took our wheelbarrow down at the start of the week during construction of the gardens and they revisited when it opened.
Ash Class coped so well in the heat and the busy, sensory-heavy environment.

Students from Alderwasley Hall School visited Bearded Theory festival at Catton Hall for work experience. They help to set up the kids’ village by putting up bunting and making sure everything was set for the grand opening on Thursday.
Bearded Theory is a multi-award winning creative and performing arts festival set in the beautiful grounds of Catton Hall in the heart of the National Forest.
In 2016 they won “UK`s Best Family Festival” at the UK Festival Awards, 2014 they won “Promoter of the Year” award at the UK Festival Awards and Festival Kidz “Silver Award”. In 2013, after being shortlisted for many years, they finally won “Best Small Festival” at the UK Festival Awards and a Festival Kidz “Gold Award”. In 2011, they won the “UKs Best Independent Festival” at the AIM Music Awards.
