About us

Bladon House School in Staffordshire specialises in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties.

Through our work we have also developed skills in achieving significant progress and successful outcomes for children and young people with Prader Willi Syndrome.

The Role

  • To provide an attractive, clean and safe physical environment for visitors, colleagues and students with special educational needs.
  • To upkeep the gardens and grounds at Bladon House School
  • During quieter periods you will be expected to assist the maintenance team at Bladon House School with general maintenance works and minor upgrade projects.
  • You will be expected to manage your working day effectively to maintain the sites to a high standard.

Essential Criteria

  • Good all round grounds skills to maintain the grounds to a high standard
  • Able to operate relevant machinery and equipment safely as well as maintaining these in a safe manner
  • Demonstrable knowledge of all grounds related tasks as well as plant knowledge.
  • Able to participate in the 24-hour on-call system
  • Flexible to meet service requirements
  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Knowledge of health and safety at work
