At Maple View School, learning is designed to be engaging and meaningful. Recently pupils have been focusing on essential skills for staying safe and healthy, with activities planned to support independence, confidence and wellbeing.

Road Safety
Pupils practised vital road safety skills during local walks, learning to stop, look, listen and cross safely with adult support. These experiences help children apply safety rules in real-life situations.
Dressing for Winter
The children explored how to choose appropriate clothing for cold weather, practising putting on coats, hats and gloves to stay warm and safe outdoors.
Park Play for Motor Skills
A visit to the park provided opportunities to strengthen motor skills through climbing, balancing and swinging, all while enjoying active play.
These activities reflect Maple View School’s commitment to a holistic, person-centred approach that combines education and therapy. By embedding practical life skills into the curriculum, the school helps pupils develop independence, resilience and confidence.
