Q. How do I make a referral/consultation for a SENAD Group School?
A. Our central office referrals team coordinate consultations for all of our schools. Please do not contact the schools directly.
Please email the consultation paperwork to referrals@senadgroup.com
If you want to discuss a child or young person, please call the Central Office Referrals team on 01332 378 840.
Q. How does the consultation process work?
A. On receipt of the formal consultation, the central referrals team will send to the school/schools within the group who may be suitable. The school assessment team will review the EHCP and reports, and the central referrals team with provide feedback from the school/schools, as to whether they feel they may be able to meet the needs of the child or young person and if they have capacity. You will be asked to give your consent for us to carry out a suitability needs assessment.
Following the suitability assessment, the central referrals team will provide feedback. An offer of placement letter with be issued if the school suitability/capacity assessment is successful.
Q. Do you charge for assessments?
A. No, our short assessments are free. We may, however charge for long residential assessments (i.e., those lasting more than 4 residential days)
Q. Are you able to take emergency placements
A. We are registered to admit pupils and adults into our homes and schools following an assessment, which can be carried out relatively quickly, depending on the school assessment teams’ availability.
Please note we are not registered for ‘same day’ admissions into our schools or children’s homes.
