Curriculum

We offer a mainstream curriculum which is adapted to meet the individual needs of our students. Therapies are integrated throughout the curriculum and we provide a truly holistic approach, with students at the centre of this.

Our approach has a proven track record of producing exceptional outcomes for students, both educationally and socially, enabling them to become happy, confident, independent and valued members of society. The school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Primary Curriculum

This is planned to support students to develop the capacity to formulate and communicate ideas and feelings whilst enhancing perceptual skills.

Secondary Curriculum

The secondary curriculum is a broad and balanced curriculum that builds on the skills acquired in Primary and further promotes independence, literacy, numeracy, creativity and problem-solving. All students are supported to achieve external qualifications as appropriate to their pathway.

Sixth Form Curriculum

This curriculum supports the transition into the next stage of a student’s education and/or employment journey. Additional external qualifications (GCSE, BTEC & A Level) are offered along with access to FE provision in the local and wider area, if appropriate.
