Salary
£21,294 – £23,263.50 (dependent on qualifications & experience)
37.5 hrs per week, 30 days annual leave
The role involves working a 3 week rolling rota pattern including evening and weekend work. This is includes two double shifts occurring every 3 weeks and a mixture of early and late shifts. The shift hours are as follows:
Early: 7:30 – 3:30
Late: 3:00 – 10:00pm

We are looking to recruit full time Support Workers to assist our residents within the school as well as in the home environment. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about promoting independence and providing the best care possible.
Experience is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate. It is, however, essential that you are patient, resilient and willing to learn.
As a Support Worker you will work within the school, plan activities & day trips and deliver personal care. You will also experience challenging behaviour, but we will provided you will the appropriate training and a series of shadow shifts so you can be confident in your ability to handle these situations safely. Our friendly team will also always be on hand for advice!

About us
Rowden House School in Herefordshire provides individualised care and education programmes for children and young people aged 11 to 19 years, with severe learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
– An ability to identify and undertake any training necessary to develop within the role
– Good sense of humour
– Calm and even tempered
– A natural respect for the dignity and individuality of residents
-A valid current driving licence
– Previous experience within a residential setting desirable
