Salary: £17,257.50 to £19,695.00 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications
Part time or full time hours available

a bonus payment of £1500 will be payable to new care staff (Support Worker grade only)

As a Support Worker at Pegasus School you will work alongside the best in their field and give
quality care and guidance to the young people at our residential school.
Once you have the experience as a Support Worker Pegasus School can provide genuine

Training in key areas such as, First Aid, Safeguarding and Non-Abusive Physical and
Psychological Intervention is all provided as part of the role.
You will support the young people in their home, the classroom, and out in the community. This
means no day is ever the same. Our Care Assistants have supported residents to go rock
climbing, Horse riding, try archery and even go on holidays!
As a Support Worker you will experience challenging behaviour, but we will provided you will the
appropriate training and a series of shadow shifts so you can be confident in your ability to
handle these situations safely. Our friendly team will also always be on hand for advice!
This position involves delivering personal care, including toileting and bathing.
Pegasus School is an independent specialist day and residential school for young people aged 8
to 19 years with severe learning disabilities, autism and associated challenging behaviour. Many
of our students also have mental health and therapy needs.
