Job Information:
Pegasus School is an independent specialist day and residential school for
young people aged 8 to 19 years with severe learning disabilities, autism and
associated challenging behaviour. Many of our students also have mental health
and therapy needs.
Students have personalised and individualized programmes, designed by a multidisciplinary
team of professionals to support the young person to make progress,
develop skills and engage socially with others.
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will support the young people
within the classroom and home environment as well as planning and taking part
in a range of activities to suit the interests of the young person in your care. This
role also involves supporting with personal care and hygiene including toileting,
bathing and showering.
We are looking for motivated care professionals who will strive to meet each
young person’s individual needs at all times.
It is requirement of this position is that you undertake the Level 3 qualification in
Residential Childcare and you will be expected to work a shift pattern which will
include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Experience of working in a similar setting would be an advantage but is not
essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

A bonus payment of £1500 will be payable to new care staff (Support Worker grade only) who join us with a relevant Level 3 qualification. The £1500 is paid in instalments. Terms and conditions apply.
