Location: Aran Hall School, North Wales
Earn a competitive salary of up to £20,700 inclusive of weekend bonuses (dependent upon experience and qualifications), working a rolling rota averaging a 37 hour week,
28 days holiday, good pension scheme, employee assistance programme, training and childcare voucher scheme. No sleep-in or night duties are required.
At Aran Hall School we provide flexible 38 to 52 week residential care with education to children and young people with a range of learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders, both with associated challenging behaviour.
As a Residential Support Worker you will join a team of experienced professionals and attend regular training sessions to ensure you have up to date knowledge to enable you to provide the highest quality of care. You will support the young people within the classroom and the home environment, giving academic support as well as teaching life skills like cooking and cleaning.
The position also involves planning and carrying out a range of activities to suit the interests of the children you care for, this could mean long walks in the countryside or outdoor activities. We expect all staff to be proactive and forward planning in this area to ensure the children have access to a wide range of hobbies and day trips.
We are looking for people with a passion for working with children who have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential as we are able to offer the training and support required by someone who is just starting their career in care.
Due to our rural location applicants must have their own means of transport. All applicants must be prepared to work a three week rolling rota pattern that includes evening and weekend work.
The SENAD Group is dedicated to equality of opportunity in all areas of work, education and care. We are committed to safeguarding those in our care; all employees are required to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and follow safeguarding policy and practice.
