Salary: £17,803.50 – £20.065.50 (dependent upon experience and qualifications) plus additional bonus scheme of £17.50 for each weekend shift worked

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About us:

At Aran Hall School we provide 38 to 52 week residential care with education to children and young people with a range of learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, and associated challenging behaviour.

The Role:

You will form positive relationships with the young people, supporting them through life and helping to create a safe and caring home environment along with a team of other experienced professionals. You will promote their independence and teach life skills that they can carry throughout the rest of their lives.

You will also gain experience working within the classroom in our onsite school setting. By providing care and education we ensure that children’s individual programmes are delivered consistently. Our focus is to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people’s skills and aspirations can be encouraged to develop.

In return for your hard work and commitment SENAD will provide a menu of regular training in key areas such as Safeguarding,First Aid and many more.

We encourage the young people to take part in a range of activities, for example: fishing, going to the zoo and go karting.

  • While previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, it is not essential as we are able to offer the training and support required by someone who is just starting their career in care.
  • A willingness to work both evening and weekend shifts (No sleep-ins are required)
  • Exceptional communication skills

Part time hours during evening and weekends will also be considered.

A bonus payment of £1500 will be payable to new care staff (Support Worker grade only) who join us with a relevant Level 3 qualification. The £1500 is paid in instalments. Terms and conditions apply.
