Location: Aran Hall School, North Wales

Salary

Full time, working 37.5hrs per week.

3 week rolling rota pattern including a mixture of early and late shifts:

Pm shift – 3.00pm – 10.00pm

Am shift – 8.00am – 4.00pm

Salary: £11.18 – £12.34 per hour – dependent on experience and qualifications.

Job Info

At Aran Hall School we provide 52 week residential care with education to children and young
people with a range of learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders, both with associated challenging behaviour.

Essential Criteria

We are looking for people with a passion for working with children who have excellent
communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential as we are able to offer the training and support required.

The Role

You will join a team of experienced professionals and attend regular training sessions to ensure you have up to date knowledge to enable you to provide the highest quality of care. You will support the young people within the classroom and the home environment, giving academic support as well as teaching life skills like cooking and cleaning.

The position also involves planning and carrying out a range of activities to suit the interests of the children you care for. We expect all staff to be proactive and forward planning in this area to ensure the children have access to a wide range of hobbies.
