Special credit to David Reynolds (OM), Mark Thomas (TL) and Ethan Hall (SW) who recently took a service user for a day out at the seaside, as part of a transitional plan to arrange a longer holiday for him. C was asked by support staff if he would like to go on a day trip to the seaside

Staff suggested Blackpool, Skegness and Weston- Super-Mare. C reacted positively to visiting Skegness.

C appeared relaxed on the journey to Skegness which took 2.5 hours. He requested a stop on the way for a drink. When C arrived at Skegness he chose a café, where he wanted to have his lunch and chose fish and chips from the menu. After lunch C spotted an ice cream outlet and chose the ice-cream that he wanted.

They walked around Skegness and along the beach. C stopped at various places, he enjoyed the Amusement, Arcade and the Aquarium. Staff prompted him to stop and look at the fish, which he really seemed to enjoy.

C arrived back home at 18.30. Chris was asked if he enjoyed his day and he said Yes.
