Residential

We take a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach, recognising that each child’s journey is different. Every element of their care plan is thoughtfully tailored—whether it’s the number of nights they stay, their daily routines, therapeutic input, diet, or their cultural and religious preferences. We work closely with children, families, and professionals to create a personalised plan that helps each child feel secure, understood, and empowered.

The Home and school share one building, providing seamless transitions for children who may find movement between settings challenging or overwhelming. Our environment has been created with comfort and emotional safety in mind:

•  Three spacious lounges

•  Two well-equipped kitchens

•  Individual bedrooms, each prepared and personalised before a child’s arrival, complete with en-suite facilities

This setup allows children to feel a sense of ownership, belonging, and stability from the moment they join us.

Outside of school hours, residential children have full access to the school’s facilities, supporting both learning and leisure in familiar surroundings. We celebrate every achievement—big or small—and help children recognise their progress, strengths, and resilience.

Our care team thoughtfully plans activities, trips, and experiences that reflect each child’s interests, goals, and needs. These opportunities help build confidence, nurture talents, strengthen relationships, and create positive memories.

At Maple View Children’s Home, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and capable of thriving—and we are committed to walking alongside them every step of the way.

The school recognises the potential every pupil has to succeed. Pupils are confident and enthusiastic. They learn exceptionally well.
