Facilities

The school is equipped with a wide range of facilities to meet the diverse needs of pupils. We have a modern, high-tech sensory room, a fully equipped movement room for occupational therapy programmes, a life skills room for delivering ASDAN qualifications and developing independence, and a dedicated outdoor classroom to support our Rooted Learning Curriculum.

Younger pupils benefit from dedicated outdoor spaces for play-based learning, alongside specialist facilities such as a cycle track and sunken trampoline. Every classroom includes a breakout area, a quiet, shared space for pupils to regulate throughout the day.

Learning also extends beyond the school grounds: pupils throughout the year access swimming, Cycle Derby, and horse riding, as well as the many opportunities offered by our close proximity to Derby City. These include trips to local supermarkets for plan–shop–cook activities, visits to the Derby Faith Trail, the Museum of Making, Derby Museum and Art Gallery, and many more.
