How to Find Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form (Upper Site)

From the South

Head out of Derby on the A6 north towards Matlock.  Continue for 2 miles and then turn left at the traffic lights in Duffield onto the B5035 Broadway/Wirksworth, towards Wirksworth. After you have gone through the village of Idridgehay (after 8 miles) and over the railway, the Sixth Form can be found on your left hand side, opposite a bus stop before you come into Wirksworth.

From the North

Leave Matlock via the A6 Southbound, following signs for Belper and Derby. Remain on the A6 for 5 miles into Cromford and turn right at the traffic lights onto the B5036 towards Wirksworth. Continue over the hill into and through Wirksworth. Go over the railway bridge and the Sixth Form can be found on your right hand side, opposite the bus stop. If you cross the railway again, you have gone too far.

By Train

The nearest station is either Whatstandwell or Cromford station, both of which are served by trains from Derby, Matlock, Belper and Duffield. Travelling time from London St Pancras to Whatstandwell is three hours with a change at Derby.
