We are seeking 2 experienced and committed care professionals to become Senior Residential Manager’s at Rowden House School. The School specialises in individualised care and education programmes for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years, with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
This is an ideal opportunity for those with drive and ambition to become a Registered Manager in the very near future as we will develop and mentor candidates into this role, as well as supporting candidates to complete their Level 5 qualification, if not already in receipt.
Successful candidates will effectively manage the care provision for their ‘wing’ for around 12 children. They will help manage the external and internal inspection process, leading on actions as appropriate. They will also model best practice and ensure all safeguarding commitments are met and evidenced. You should therefore have a relevant Level 3 Diploma, previous experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and autism, management level experience for at least 2 years, along with good knowledge of the role of the Quality Standards and current legislation in relation to children’s homes and a willingness to develop further knowledge in this area.
This vacancy is open to internal and external candidates. The SENAD Group is dedicated to equality of opportunity in all areas of work, education and care. We are also committed to safeguarding those in our care – the successful candidate will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check, will be subject to thorough background checks and must be able to gain OFSTED registration in the future.
