External Transition and College Manager

This is a rare opportunity to become the External Transitions and Colleges at Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form Centre. We are looking for a self motivated, highly organised indivual to support students and their external college placements at Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form Centre.

This position requires someone with initiative, great social skills and the ability to be part of different teams in order to co-ordinate the transition of students to placements at external colleges, as well as working with families, Local Authorities, colleges staff, key teams and the Senior Management Team to ensure the transition to other placements is smooth and successful.

Working within a residential care setting, you will assist students with a range of care activities in the home, and support students’ needs during leisure activities and school holiday periods. You will promote choice at every opportunity and help our students to achieve and excel in all they do – whilst providing the highest standards of care.

Successful applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, understanding and have excellent team working skills. Qualifications are not essential as we provide a full induction and training programme. Experience of working in a similar setting would be an advantage, but is not essential; you do however need to be committed to safeguarding those in our care and be able to demonstrate an excellent value base.
