Alderwasley Hall School Sixth Form Centre – Senior Residential Support Worker Vacancy (full time)

A vacancy has arisen at Alderwasley Hall School Sixth Form Centre, for a full time Senior RSW. You will be a member of a strong team that has recently been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted. We are looking at a motivated, committed and competent individual who can make a positive difference to our students. A strong awareness of safeguarding practice is essential as well as being able to promote equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.

You will be a mentor and leader and provide support and advice to your colleagues. The role of SRSW requires you to be a positive role model for others and have an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Full induction and training will be provided.

You must be flexible and willing to work shifts that include some evenings, weekends, school holidays (including Bank Holidays) and sleep-ins. Successful applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, understanding and have excellent team working skills. You must hold a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Caring for Children and Young People and have at least two years direct experience in residential child care.

The successful applicant will have a strong background of working with children. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career for a future management position.

Alderwasley Hall School – Part Time Cook

Alderwasley Hall School and Sixth Form Centre is a day and residential school for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, namely High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome

30 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 11.00am to 18.00pm and Friday 11.30am to 15.30pm, 39 weeks per year term time.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our existing catering team who provide high quality meals for our residential and day students. You will need to have experience of preparing meals and working in a busy kitchen. You need to be enthusiastic, patient and have good communication skills along with customer service skills.
