This is a rare opportunity to become the External Transitions and Colleges at Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form Centre. We are looking for a self motivated, highly organised indivual to support students and their external college placements at Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form Centre.

This position requires someone with initiative, great social skills and the ability to be part of different teams in order to co-ordinate the transition of students to placements at external colleges, as well as working with families, Local Authorities, colleges staff, key teams and the Senior Management Team to ensure the transition to other placements is smooth and successful.

Successful candidates should have a basic understanding of working in a busy payroll section, along with an understanding of tax and national insurance calculations. In addition, sound IT skills in all areas of Microsoft Office and previous database experience are a must. Ideally candidates will have a relevant finance or payroll qualification and have worked with Auto Enrolment and pension administration, however this is not essential as full training and support will be given.

We are looking for Residential Support Workers who can demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for our young people.

The role will involve working a combination of early and late shifts totalling 37.5 per week over a three week rolling rota, including some weekends.

      We are looking for dedicated and reliable people who have an excellent work ethic and a passion for caring for and supporting adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Compassion and empathy are essential qualities required for this challenging and rewarding opportunity.

      Previous experience of learning difficulties is desirable however not essential as full training is provided and you will be supported in gaining recognised qualifications in health and social care.       • Permanent Full Time or Part Time Support Worker or Learning Support Assistant Vacancies
      • Bank / Casual Support Worker Vacancies for those who cannot commit to regular hours
      • Waking Night Care Vacancies
      • Ideally you will have previous experience in caring or supporting others and a relevant NVQ or Diploma qualification, however if you are new to this field, this is not essential as we offer excellent training, support and induction for all staff.
